Focus Mode and Typewriter Mode

Dim everything but the paragraph you're writing, or lock your cursor to the center of the screen so you never lose your place.

Two toolbar buttons in the editor exist for one purpose: getting distraction out of the way.

Focus Mode

Focus Mode dims every paragraph except the one you’re currently writing in. Turn it on from the editor toolbar and the rest of the page fades back while your cursor’s paragraph stays sharp. Turn it off the same way, any time.

Typewriter Mode

Typewriter Mode keeps your cursor locked to the vertical center of the screen. Instead of your text scrolling up and out of view as you type, the page scrolls with you, so the line you’re writing always sits in the same spot. It’s closer to how it feels to write on an actual typewriter.

Using both together

Focus Mode and Typewriter Mode aren’t mutually exclusive. Turn on both if you want a fully stripped-down writing view: one dim paragraph, centered, with nothing else competing for attention.
